House of Hows accepts students from Primary 1 through Secondary 4, covering PSLE, N-Level and O-Level preparation. We work with students of different ability levels, including those who are currently failing.
Yes. We specialise in Mathematics and Science at both Primary and Secondary levels. This includes PSLE Math, PSLE Science, E-Math, A-Math, Combined Science, Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry and Pure Biology.
Yes. Many of our most significant improvements come from students who joined us while failing their subjects. We assess each student’s specific gaps and build from there — including weak foundations, confidence issues and examination technique problems.
Teacher Laura’s approach goes beyond drilling worksheets. She focuses on helping students understand how questions are structured, how to identify what is being asked, and how to present answers that meet marking requirements. Her visual model-drawing methods for Math and structured question-breaking techniques for Science are distinctly different from conventional tuition approaches.
Many parents observe meaningful improvements within the first term. Significant grade jumps — such as two to three grade bands — are more commonly seen over a six to twelve month period with consistent attendance.
With a qualifying one-year enrolment, House of Hows guarantees eligible students at least a three-grade improvement within 6–12 months. If this is not achieved, the remaining lessons will be refunded. Eligibility conditions apply — speak to our team for full details.
Lessons are conducted in small groups, typically 6 to 10 students per class. This allows students to receive personalised attention while also benefiting from peer discussion and a structured learning environment.
